Obituary for Shirley Althea Lunsford
Shirley Althea Lunsford passed away at the age of 90 on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at The Trace Memory Care Unit, Covington, LA. She was born on April 7, 1932 in New Orleans, LA to the late Earl Landreaux, Sr. and Caroline Mangain Landreaux.

Shirley is survived by her sister, Dolores Lunsford and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Lunsford; sister, Earline Mauthe and brother, Earl Landreaux, Jr.

Shirley resided in New Orleans, LA until moving to The Trace. She worked for Winn Dixie for 55 years. She loved her family as well as her pet dog and cat.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Trace, Integra Medical Care and the nurses from Passages Hospice for taking such wonderful care of her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Eucharistic Service at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington LA on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow the service in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery, 75376 River Road, Saint Benedict, LA.

Pallbearers will be her nephews and great nephews.
