TYLER BONURA OBITUARY
Tyler Joseph Bonura passed away in Slidell, LA on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the age of 30. He was born on December 27, 1991 in Metairie, LA to Joseph Russel Bonura and Jamie Lynne Smith Bonura. Tyler is survived by his parents; sons, Brayden M. Bonura and Tyler J. Bonura, Jr.; daughter, Bella M. Bonura; sisters, Toni B. Guasco (Michael) and Tatum A. Bonura; and grandmother, Adele M. Bonura. Tyler is also survived by his fiancée, Megan L. Tanner and step-sons, Nicholas Johnson and Nathan Johnson. Tyler is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin J. Smith and paternal grandfather, Philip Bonura, Jr. After graduating from Archbishop Hannan High School in 2010, Tyler attended Southeastern Louisiana University for one semester. Considered a Jack of All Trades, there wasn't much Tyler didn't try for an occupation. He was an excellent framer for construction and worked for a couple of contractors. He later became certified in auto collision repair. Tyler loved sports of all kinds. He was a 4 star letterman in basketball and baseball at Archbishop Hannan as well as an outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish. Following his senior year of high school, he was blessed with a wonderful son, Brayden. He later met his current girlfriend and fiancée, Megan Tanner. They were blessed with two children, Bella and Tyler. Megan and Tyler also welcomed Megan's sons, Nick and Nathan into their family. Being an avid fisherman, Tyler and Nick shared the love of fishing. Tyler loved life and most recently had become closer to his family and mentioned that he looked forward to spending more time with his family.
