Michael Kevin Springmann passed away at peace in Jefferson, LA on June 21, 2021. Beloved Father of Kevin Michael Springmann, Kelly Michelle Springmann, Ashley Springmann Davis and Courtney Lynn Springmann. Father-In-Law of Tiffany Matherne Springmann (Kevin) and Tyler James Davis (Ashley). Grandfather of Tyler Lee Skelton, Private First Class Skelton, Austin Noel, Kevin Michael Springmann Jr. and Jack James Davis. Pre-deceased by parents Louis Henry Springmann Jr. and Carol Larmann Springmann and grand-daughter Diane Elizabeth Easley. Brother of Scott Paul Springmann (Mary Lynne) and Timothy James Springmann. Survived by the mother of their children Bernadette Buehler Springmann. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Aged 66 years. A native of Metairie, LA and a resident of Mandeville, LA for over 30 years.

Mr. Springmann graduated from Jesuit High School with honors in 1972. He was an attorney-at-law, obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree at Tulane University in 1976, followed by his Law Degree at Loyola University of New Orleans in 1979. Mr. Springmann practiced insurance defense law for over 30 years with various insurance companies. He most recently worked as a senior claims supervisor/adjuster handling environmental claims for another 10 years until his retirement in December, 2020. Mr. Springmann was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church where he served as an Usher for 20 years. He also served as the Football Commissioner at Pelican Park Youth Sports in 1997.

Mr. Springmann loved the city of New Orleans and was an ardent New Orleans Saints fan who frequently held season tickets dating back to the beginning of the franchise. He loved spending time with his family and friends and loved traveling with his brothers and other family members. Mr. Springmann was a loving parent and grandparent of all of his children and grandchildren, and will always be remembered as a kind and caring person by everyone he met throughout his entire lifetime.

The family of Mr. Springmann would like to express their deepest appreciation to the Cardiac ICU Staff and Heart Failure Team at Ochsner Hospital (Jefferson) for their exemplary care during the final days of his life. These professionals went above and beyond for Mr. Springmann and his family and it is easy to see why they have the reputation for excellence.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Visitation at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte Street in Mandeville, LA on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 11:00AM to 12:30PM, followed by a Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery, 75376 River Road in Covington (St. Benedict), LA.
