Obituary

Daniel Fontenot was born on August 1, 1954 in Lake Charles, LA and died peacefully on November 17, 2020 at his home in Madisonville, LA. Daniel is survived by his wife, Cris Fontenot, daughters Marie Fontenot and Emily Fontenot Marcinkowski (Tim), stepchildren Olga Perez Flora (Jamie) and David Perez (Lauren), grandchildren whom he adored: Isabella, Alec, Lucia, Mariella, and Henry, his sister Jackie Blank (J.C.) and his brother, Michael Todd Fontenot, and nephews, David Blank (Brook) and Douglas Blank (Kim).

Daniel was a civil engineer who spent his career in sales for the marine industry, more specifically on commercial boats. He loved motorcycles, cars, boats, music, traveling, and dark chocolate. He and Cris would have celebrated their 20-year anniversary this Sunday, November 22. Throughout their 20-year marriage, they enjoyed traveling, church, and spending time with friends and family. His legacy will now live on through his grandchildren.
