Lynda Hoffstadt Walker passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 10, 2021 in Covington, LA. Native of New Orleans, lifelong resident of New Orleans, Metairie and Kenner, and resident of Kentwood, LA since 2010. Beloved wife for over 51 years of Thomas Andron Walker, Sr. Loving mother of Thomas A. Walker, Jr. and his wife Theresa, Chrissy Henrickle and her husband Billy, and Emily Rodriguez and her husband Marshall. Devoted grandmother of Thomas III, Gracie, Jaden, Kody, Bailey, William and Wren. Loving aunt of Henry Hoffstadt III, Harrell Hoffstadt, Daniel Casey, Henry Casey, Joey Perez, Jr., Donna Speed, Dianne Kleyle, Becky Romig, Lucy Casey, and Holly Strong, and great aunt to Stacie Reynolds, Eddie Kleyle, Melissa Ory, Amy Casey, Daniel Casey, Clifton Speed, Dianne Huggins, Christopher Casey, David Casey, Gabrielle Lloyd, Phillip Romig, Eric Romig, Leaman Romig, Jr., Joey Perez III, Scott Perez, Brittany Hoffstadt, Hank Hoffstadt, Jonathan Hoffstadt, Nicholas Hoffstadt, Charlie Strong, Shelly Hoffstadt, and Alaina Strong. Devoted sister in law of Butch Hoffstadt, and Joseph Perez, Sr. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry John Hoffstadt, Sr. and Alma Harrell Hoffstadt, as well as her brother and four sisters; Henry J. Hoffstadt, Jr., Alma Hoffstadt Neal, Blanche Hoffstadt Montz, Camille Hoffstadt Casey, and Earllea Hoffstadt Perez. She is also preceded in death by her niece, Pat Neal, and her great nephew, Christian Romig. Lynda was a graduate of Alcee Fortier High School, New Orleans. She worked for South Central Bell for 10 years before devoting her life to raising her family, becoming heavily involved in her children's school activities and functions; she served as president of the PTA, Band and Dance Team Booster Clubs, and other ancillary organizations. An avid bowler, she was a proud member of the Keglerettes Bowling League in Kenner for over 40 years. She loved traveling and vacations with her children and extended family, bringing everybody together. An exquisite shopaholic, Lynda was known for her great generosity, always knew just what to get everyone. A pure soul with a heart of gold, she was greatly loved and will never be forgotten. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass to be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Rd., St Benedict, LA, at 2:00 PM; doors open at 1:30 PM.
