Gloria Durr Mascaro, of Metairie, Louisiana, passed away on May 30, 2023, at the age of 92. She was born on November 10, 1930, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Gloria was preceded in death by husband of 60 years, Ralph Steven Mascaro Jr.; her parents, Joseph Durr and Amelia Brenckle Durr; brother, Joseph Durr; and son-in-law, Rick Walther. Gloria is the cherished mother of Cheryl Mascaro Lohfink (Jerry), Ralph Mascaro III (Joyce), and Cynthia Mascaro Walther (the late Rick Walther); proud grandmother of Gerard Lohfink (Melanie), Melanie Lohfink Stanley (Van), Rebecca Lohfink Franzo (Chris), Katie Walther Satter (Chris), and Christopher Walther; great-grandmother of Hannah, Meagan, Austin, Alex, Lily, Liam, Claire, Anna Joan, Theodore, and Oliver; and beloved sister of Clyde Durr. She also leaves behind a host of extended family members and friends all of whom she loved dearly. Gloria dedicated 20 years of service to the United States Department of Agriculture before retiring. Retirement allowed her to travel and explore new destinations with Ralph and spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They created many cherished memories that will be forever treasured by their family. Gloria's love for her family knew no bounds, as she found immense joy in spending time with them as well as her Tastee Doughnut Family, a group of friends she spent many laughter-filled mornings with. Those who knew Gloria will remember her for her unwavering faith, her wisdom, and her ability to bring people together with her loving spirit. Her presence during gatherings with family and friends brought warmth and happiness that will be deeply missed. A celebration of Gloria's life will be announced in the future. Gloria will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Wounded Warriors Project are appreciated.
