Kristina Minor Rotolo passed away on October 15, 2021. She is the beloved wife of Joseph Rotolo Jr.; cherished mother of Joseph Rotolo III (Julia Schulze), Kimberly Dorr (Kasey), and Kelly Love Pasamonte (Lionel); and loving grandmother of Grayson, Rhett, Griffin, Graison, and Max. Kristina was preceded in death by her parents, Elisabeth Love and Jack Blanchard Minor. In accordance with Kristina's wishes, private services will be held to respect the health and safety of those in attendance. A public Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Born To Be Alive: Kristina Minor blessed this universe with her birth on September 23, 1946. She is the daughter of blues singer and beautiful southern belle, Elizabeth Love from Memphis, Tennessee. Her father, Jack Minor, was an ambitious FBI agent from Lincoln, Nebraska who became a diplomat for the United States State Department. The combination of these two extraordinary individuals created a remarkable soul that touched the lives of countless people. Born in Meridian, Mississippi, she was the younger sibling of Timothy Rowe Minor, whom she loved and admired. They lived and loved life with parents abroad in exotic countries that included Australia, Germany, Austria, Japan, and Cambodia. It was in these places that Kris began her journey in becoming the remarkable woman she was. She returned to Meridian, Mississippi for her high school years and brought much enthusiasm and worldly culture to this sleepy southern town. Quite the tennis player, she earned a scholarship to Mississippi University for Women. Restless and longing for a world of travel, she became one of the youngest flight attendants for Delta Airlines. She was in her element meeting new people (she never met a stranger) and traveling to the various exotic places she loved as a child. In New Orleans, Louisiana, she met Ron Krajewski, the father of her two daughters, Kimberly and Kelly and made a beautiful life for 12 years. In the summer of 1978, she and her family moved to Slidell, Louisiana, to start a new chapter. Shortly after, she met Joseph Rotolo Jr. It was an extraordinary chemistry, as Joe became her best friend in life. Her regal beauty, athletic prowess, and larger-than- life personality was an authentic and irresistible combination. Their friendship, love, and passion for each other were undeniable and after a courtship of epic proportions, they were married June 4, 1983. Soon after, they were blessed with the birth of their son, Joseph Rotolo III. The years that followed were filled with much joy. Kris loved watching her children play various sports. Soccer tournaments, softball games, tennis, and volleyball matches, gymnastics, swim meets, and cheerleading competitions had the family traveling all over the country. All the while, Kris played competitive tennis of her own at a 4.5 level. She won several city mixed doubles titles and USTA women's doubles titles. Her fierce competitive nature combined with unparalleled style, was unbeatable. In her later years at Money Hill, she enjoyed playing golf with her Lady "Bs". When the pressure was on, she was known for her "Hot Putter". Kris adored animals. Known as the "Ace Ventura" of the family, she loved animals of all species including dogs, cats, rats, and her beloved exotic birds. She frequently volunteered at the local SPCA and enjoyed helping stray animals find their perfect homes. She seldom slept a night without a furry family member by her side. Kris had an iconic wit and was the ultimate joke teller. She had a way of delivering a punch line that always resulted in hysteric laughter. Those who were fortunate enough to spend time with her experienced a level of intelligence and an impressive aptitude for the English language. One of her great pleasures was writing thoughtful notes, humorous limericks, and sending random funny texts, much to the joy of her family and friends. She could also steal the dance floor and music was her muse. She would light up a room with her love of rhythm and harmony which always left people smiling. Kris was a champion of honesty and good character. She had the courage to stand up for her convictions never worrying about what others thought. She spent countless hours imparting pearls of wisdom to her children about striving to be the best people they could be. Ultimately, family and friendships meant the most to her. To know her was to admire, adore, and love her. She was unlike any person in the universe and was a light to all fortunate enough to experience her kind spirit and beautiful soul. Her influence was an undeniable force to all and forever impacted our lives. To say she will be missed is a profound understatement. She was our very own Supernova. She was everything.
