Obituary for Charles Mario Casrill
Charles “Charlie” Mario Casrill of Covington, LA passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019. He was born on December 6, 1947 in New Orleans, LA to Louis Martin Casrill, Jr. and Evelyn Robertson Casrill.

Charlie is survived by his children Cassie Casrill Baker (Brian), Jenith Casrill Thompson (Greg), and Charles “Charlie” Casrill, II (Michelle); five grandchildren MaryBeth Baker, Thomas Baker, Laurel Thompson, Charley Casrill, and Chloé Casrill. He is also survived by his wife Nancy LeJeune Casrill; his mother Evelyn Casrill; his sisters Denise Casrill, Catherine Williams, Yvette Cushing; and his brother Douglas Trovato.

Charlie is preceded in death by his father Louis Casrill, Jr.; his sisters Sandra Dours and Rebecca Mouillé; and his brothers Louis Martin Casrill, III and Reynolds Casrill.

Charlie worked with the New Orleans Steamship Association for 20 years, as well as the New Orleans Fire Department for 13 years. Charlie was an outstanding athlete and enjoyed playing sports well into adulthood. He passed on his passion for sports to his children and later coached football at Mandeville Junior High, as well as softball and baseball in the community. He also enjoyed breeding and raising Thoroughbred horses, had a green thumb like no other, and had a love for all animals.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 5:00 PM with visitation on Thursday beginning at 3:00 PM. NORMA'S OBITUARY
Norma Foley Ladner, born January 12, 1949, passed away on December 3, 2019 at the age of 70. She was a native of Boston, Massachusetts, spent her childhood in Gulfport, Mississippi, and was a resident of Slidell, Louisiana since 1978. She was a devoted wife and mother.

Mrs. Ladner is preceded in death by her parents Walter T. Foley and Emily Erhard Foley Turan, and step-father Harmon Turan. Mourning her loss are her husband, C. J. and two children, Michele Mills (Brent) and Brian Ladner (Christine). Norma dearly loved her grandchildren, Hayden and Brady Mills, Katie, Josh, Andrew, and Matthew Ladner. She is survived by her brother Richard Foley (JJ) and sisters Carol Foley and Debbie Turan Landry and sisters-in-law Dale Ladner, Cathy Ladner, and Beverly Ladner. Her many nieces, nephews, and friends brought great joy into her life.

Norma was a member of St. Margaret Mary Parish and a devoted teacher for 31 years of her life. She taught at Holy Redeemer Redemptorist Seminary and High School in Lacombe for several years and St. Margaret Mary (SMM) Catholic Elementary School in Slidell for 27 years. She greatly enjoyed directing the SMM Talent shows and plays. She loved and was loved by her friends and former students. She will be greatly missed.
