Beverly Jane Berdon Cernich of Mandeville, Louisiana, passed away on November 29, 2020, at the age of 80. A graveside service will be held at Saint Joseph Abbey Cemetery in Covington, Louisiana, on Friday, December 4, at 1:30 p.m.

On July 29, 1940, Beverly was born to Rosalie (Rawlings) and August Berdon in Winnfield, Louisiana. Beverly married William E. Cernich who, along with her parents and one son (Steven Cernich), preceded her in death.

Beverly is survived by two children, Marian Cernich Fortenberry and William A. Cernich (wife, Wynde); and a sister, Betty Emmerson. She is also survived by seven grandchildren—Jessica Fortenberry, Michael Fortenberry (wife, Brittany), Rebecca Cernich Blanchard (husband, Joshua), Ryan Fortenberry, Shayna Fortenberry, William A. Cernich Jr, and Katie Fortenberry—and six great grandchildren.

Beverly enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
