Obituary

Thomas Julian Lieb, 86 died peacefully on November 1, 2024 at 12 p.m. surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of the late Marie (D'agati) Lieb, whom he was married to for 54 years, they married in 1962. Father of Jeanne (Bob) Champagne and Kristen Lieb. Grandfather of Michael (Mike) Champagne and Robert (Bobby) Champagne, III. Brother of Arlene (Richard) Brieling. Thomas was born in Hamtramck, Michigan to the late Julian and Frances (Galebieski) Lieb. Thomas served in the US Coast Guard and moved to Kenner where he raised his 2 children. He was an automotive technician with Honda and Pontiac in New Orleans until 1986 before he moved to California, where he spent 30 years training technicians for BMW. After retirement he was hired by the US State Department to support training for BMW military vehicles in Baghdad, Iraq during the second Gulf War. He moved back to Covington (lake Ramsey), Louisiana, where he resided until his passing. A celebration of his life will be held at later time.
