Obituary

Terri Ann Galiano, age 71, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2026. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Terri lived a life filled with family, creativity, music, travel, and many simple joys that brought her happiness.

Terri had a wonderful love for art and was a talented artist. She especially enjoyed painting pictures and creating beautiful cards. She also loved bowling, traveling the country, and taking cruises. A trip to the casino was always more enjoyable when good food was involved. She loved dogs and was an avid football fan, proudly cheering on her beloved New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers.

Music brought Terri great joy, especially songs by Elvis Presley and Tom Jones. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she celebrated it with enthusiasm. She loved decorating her home with tons of dancing Christmas figurines and filling her surroundings with the fun and excitement of the season.

Terri had fond memories of attending St. Michael Catholic School. She was also a longtime client of STARC in Slidell, Louisiana, where she was part of the STARC community for 45 years.

Family was especially important to Terri. She was very close to her nephews, Frazier III, Justin, Brandon, Caleb, and Trevor Bridges, and looked forward to their weekly Thursday family dinners. Those gatherings were special to her. She always wanted to know how everyone’s day had gone and genuinely cared about what was happening in the lives of the people she loved. Her interest, affection, and love for her family made those weekly dinners cherished memories.

Terri is survived by her beloved mother, Joan Lola Weysham Galiano, and loving siblings, Janine (Frazier) Bridges and Edward Lloyd (Anne) Galiano. She is also survived by six nephews and four nieces, along with extended family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Edward Louis Galiano, and beloved siblings, Ralph (Charlene) Galiano and Rory A. Galiano. Though they are no longer with us, the love and memories they shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew them.

Terri will be remembered for her artistic spirit, her love of music and football, her joy in traveling and celebrating Christmas, and most of all, for the love she had for her family. Her laughter, her creativity, and the memories she made with those around her will remain in their hearts forever.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Slidell.
