COTTRELL Emma Chauvin Cottrell 11-13-30 - 12--16-10 Age 80 Born in Houma LA to Arthur and Victorine Chauvin. Survived by her husband of 57 years, Earl Cottrell. Also survived by daughters and son-in-law: Vicki and Norman Miller, Cindy and Marty Dean, Tanna Ripple. Sons and daughters-in-law: David and Eloise Cottrell and Jerry and Sarah Cottrell; grandchildren Capt. Andrew Miller and his wife Sarah, Jill Miller, Joel Shoultz and his wife Ashley, Kelli Ripple, Lori Ripple, Jonathan Schoen, Colin Cottrell, Arthur Cottrell and Anna Bell Hines. Great-grandchildren: Lane and Evan Shoultz, special nephew, Terry Breaux and Brother Frank Chauvin. Preceded in death by her parents: Arthur and Vic Chauvin, brother Myron Chauvin and beloved sister Shirley Breaux. A devoted member of St. Anslem Catholic Church and a recipient of the St Louis IX Medallion from the Order of St. Louis, the highest most cherished honor bestowed by the Catholic Church to the Laity. A lifelong teacher from a lifelong teaching family. Emma, your work is done here, go to your just reward. In the giving spirit, Emma is donating her body to medical research as to benefit future generations. Visitation will be held Monday, December 20th from 9:00-11:00 a.m. with a Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anslem Church, Madisonville, LA. In memory of Emma and in lieu of flowers, she would request that you donate to the charity of your choice.
