Obituary

Sheryl Ann LeBlanc Delcambre passed away on February 2, 2023, at the age of 75. She was born in New Orleans, LA, on December 28, 1947, and resided in the Greater New Orleans Area before moving to St. Tammany Parish where she resided for the last 27 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Leslie D. Doles (Jimmy) and Kelly D. Stewart. Sheryl was the proud grandmother of six grandsons, Jacob Delcambre, Gavin and Riley Stewart, Justin, Cameron, and Carson Doles, and great granddaughter, Emma Doles. She is also survived by her sister Karen L. Hartman (Stanley); brother-in-law Richard Delcambre (Tambi) and nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Sheryl was preceded in death by her parents Shirley M. LeBlanc and Lloyd J. LeBlanc, and her loving husband of 44 years, David W. Delcambre.

An artist at heart, Sheryl had a passion for painting and recently completed the long and complex process of her first icon painting of The Holy Family. She enjoyed spending time in her gardens and adored her dogs, Remi and Molly. She loved to take trips to the beach and mountains and treasured her pilgrimage with dear friends to Medjugorje. Sheryl was outgoing and driven by hard work. She thrived by taking on activities and projects at church and in her neighborhood.

Sheryl was a retired business owner. Over the course of her career she worked as a real estate agent, Mary Kay Consultant, an office manager, and in advertising and public relations. She was an active parishioner of St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church in Abita Springs, LA where she participated as a member of The Ladies Sodality and a volunteer for the Sacred Heart of Jesus Enthronement. She also served as President of her neighborhood HOA.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Sheryl’s life and legacy on Friday, February 10, 2021, with a
visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., recitation of the Rosary by The Ladies Sodality at approximately 11:30
a.m., and a noon Mass at St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church, 72040 Maple St., Abita Springs, LA 70420.
Interment will follow at the St. Joseph’s Abbey Cemetery, 75376 River Road, St. Benedict, LA 70457.
