Obituary
Dale Joseph Webre passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. He was born on August 12, 1943 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Joseph Damase Webre and Marian Marcel Webre. Dale worked for Texaco as a Professional Landman for over 30 years. He served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged.
Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Catherine Jeansonne Webre; his sons, Trent Webre (Cara), Travis Webre (Kassi) and five grandchildren, Hannah Webre, Adam Webre, Landrie Webre, Joseph Webre, and Luke Webre. He is also survived by his siblings, Hedy Webre, Melanie Crochet, and Rohn Webre. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Marian Marcel Webre and his sister, Sheila Webre.
Dale had an incredible work ethic, and was an easy going, gentle soul who never knew a stranger. He was an excellent conversationalist and was known for his witty personality. He loved spending time with family and friends and, especially, spending time with his grandchildren over breakfasts with Paw Paw. Dale loved gardening, tending to his lawn, fishing, hunting, and playing tennis. He cherished his family and will be dearly missed by all.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 125 East 19th Ave., Covington, LA on Thursday, March 13th, at 11:00 AM with visitation at church to begin at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery, 75376 River Road, St. Benedict, LA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Dale may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 East 19th Ave., Covington, LA 70433 or to a charity of choice.
