Joseph Walter Oberfell of Mandeville, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at the age of 93. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Leavon Oberfell and Helen Oberfell as well as his son Robert Joseph Oberfelland his step son Kevin Dickerson Hagan. Joseph leaves behind to cherish his memories; his wife Delia O’Sullivan Hagan Oberfell, his first wife Betty Jean Fairbault and their daughter Debra Marie Reed (Rowland), his step daughter, Karen Hagan Clement (Jeffery), his grandchildren; Michelle Oberfell Parsons, Allison Oberfell Laborde (Isaiah), Jennifer Renee Oberfell, Bonnie Reed Kindrick (Darin), Summer Michelle Reed (Nihar Jhaveri), Mary Grace Reed, Jeffrey Clement, Jr. and Hagan Kathryn Clement. Joseph also leaves behind his great grandchildren; David Levi Parsons, Nash Joseph Oberfell, Aiden Taylor Kindrick Liam Reed Kindrick, Presley Loren LaBorde, Ledger Luke LaBorde, Astrid Marietta Jean Ascani and Teagan Lee Kindrick. Mr. Joseph served in the United State Navy Corp and graduated from Syracuse University New York in finance and served as CFO at Avondale Industries . A private burial will take place at the St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery. Due to the COVID 19 a Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
