Frank J. St. Romain passed away peacefully on March 5, 2022, in Mandeville, LA, at his home. He was born in New Orleans, LA, on February 29, 1936, to the late Amzie J. St. Romain and Rose M. Dogherty St. Romain. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie St. Romain and infant grandsons, Austin J. Henseler and Jeffrey H. St. Romain, Jr. Frank was the beloved husband of Lucille M. Waguespack St. Romain for 60 years. Frank is survived by his loving children Kenneth G. St. Romain (Shelli), Rachelle S. Henseler (Alan) and Jeffrey H. St. Romain (Melita). Frank was the proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren, Ashley Plauche (Chris), Bradley St. Romain, Parker St. Romain, Garrett Henseler (Loren), Taylor Henseler (Annie), Ross Henseler (Kylee), Cole Henseler, Juliette St. Romain, Turner St. Romain, and Camden St. Romain (Olivia). He was also the proud great-grandfather to Charlotte Plauche and Cooper Henseler. Frank attended St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School, St. Aloysius High School, and the University of New Orleans. He honorably served in the United States Marine Corp. Frank started his career within the wholesale distribution segment of the swimming pool industry in 1959. In 1981, Frank founded South Central Pool Supply headquartered in Metairie, LA. The company, successful from day one and now Pool Corp, is the largest swimming pool distribution company in the world. Frank retired from his position as CEO in 1999 and continued as a board member through 2002. He supported many charitable organizations: the Covington Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, St. Joseph Abby, St. Jude Hospital, and many others. His hobbies were golfing, boating, and volunteering. His deep love was his family. They were the joy of his life. Frank selected his grandsons to serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Covington Food Bank, 840 N.
